Photos I took at a destination wedding

We went to Lake Placid for Jamie and Christine’s amazing wedding weekend in late September. They were married at White Face Lodge and most of the wedding guests booked rooms at the Lodge. We, however, did not, because of course, we never go anywhere without our beloved little pugs.

We stayed instead at this great place called the Go Cottage. It was set back from the road and there was another cottage between us and the road. This was right on the main road into the village of Lake Placid. I did not take many photos during the wedding and none at the reception because, well, I did not want to be Uncle Bob. The camera I brought with me was the Nikon Df and I brought these Nikkor lenses:

  • 60mm f/2.8 Micro D
  • 24mm f/1.4G
  • 85mm f/1.4G

The day we left,  we headed to Whiteface Mountain before departing for home. Here’s a little gallery of images, most are processed with Mastin Labs presets in Lightroom CC. I used a mix of Fuji, Portra and Portra Pushed presets for the majority of these images. There were a few that I edited (in Lightroom) with tonal adjustments, radial filters, adjustment brushes, and a bump of clarity. I also added a slight vignette to those few images as well.
